Helen Roche Shake the blossom early

What a lovely clear voice Helen has. I first met helen in Ennis at the Fleadh Nua festival. She blew everyone away with her singing. She is in Ennis once or twice a year singing these days. This is Helens first CD . When accompaniment is used it is very tastefully done and does not get in the way of the singing.

Mairead Ni Oistin & Grace Toland Where Linnets Sing

This Goilin traditional singers club CD has two wonderful female singers Mairead Ni Oistin and Grace Toland singing on it.

Mairead who now lives in Connemara was the first Dubliner to win Corn Ui Riada the sean-nos singing competition. I have known Mairead for many years and it is a joy to be in her company when she sings.

Gracetakes great pride in singing songs from her native Inishowen in a direct and comanding style. She was first introduced to singing in her fathers pub where she would listen to the locals of Clonmany singing. They share this CD with Antaine O Farachain & jim MacFarland.
